Photos: President Trump blasts London Mayor Sadiq Khan after terror attack #LondonAttacks

Donald Trump has criticized London mayor Sadiq Khan just hours after a terror attack in the city on Saturday night left at least seven people dead and 48 injured.

The president took to Twitter early on Sunday morning to criticize Khan for telling residents of his city that there is 'no reason to be alarmed' after three terrorists ran over a crowd of people and stabbed several others before being shot dead.
But Khan's remarks had been taken out of context.
The mayor was talking about an increased police presence in the British capital when he said there was 'no reason to be alarmed'.
Khan had earlier released a statement condemning the attacks as 'barbaric' and 'cowardly'.
Trump said on Sunday morning: 'We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don't get smart it will only get worse.'
'At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"'
'Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now? That's because they used knives and a truck!'
Worse: The president promised that things would get 'worse' if America didn't stop being 'politically correct' and 'smart' but the responses to his tweets were largely negative
'Idiot': Many responses to Trump's tweet were less than polite, with this user saying that Trump was playing into the terrorists' hands by encouraging people to panic
Angry: This user was similarly upset, saying that Trump was not being a true leader by suggesting that people should be alarmed by the terrorist attack

More tweets by POTUS:

Ban: Trump also called for the return of his failed travel ban on several Muslim-majority countries, which has repeatedly been thrown out by courts as unconstitutional
It was only after making his initial tweet about reinstating the travel ban that Trump then addressed the actual attack, saying that the US will do whatever it can to help

POTUS slammed by many:

Furious: CNN host Reza Aslan was angry about Trump demanding his travel ban in response to the London attacks, saying the president was a 'piece of s**t' and 'and embarrassment to humankind'
Danger? Political commentator Keith Olbermann demanded that Trump be kicked out of the White House, saying he - and his proposed travel ban - are 'a clear and present danger' to the US and 'its freedoms'
Ban? Sean Spicer had told press not to refer to a 'travel ban', saying Trump's proposed executive order was in fact merely 'extreme vetting' - but many, such as the ACLU, noted Trump had now contradicted Spicer's remarks
'Dope': NBC broadcaster Joe Scarborough called Trump a 'dope' and suggested that the president referring to it as a 'travel ban' might discourage the Supreme Court from overturning the holds placed on it by the lower courts
