Facebook today adds four new features to video chats in Messenger

Facebook Messenger has introduced a range of new features to keep you entertained.

During video chats on Messenger, users can now use animated reactions, filters, masks and effects, and screenshot any funny moments.

The new features are available worldwide today.

NEW FEATURES

1) Reactions

This feature allows you to express five emotions – love, laughter, surprise, sadness or anger - in real-time.

During a chat, users can tap on the reaction button at the bottom of the screen, and choose one of these five.

The chosen reaction will then animate onto the screen.

2) Filters

New filters have also been added to video chats, ranging from subtle lighting tweaks to bold colour changes, including red, white, black or yellow.

3) Masks 

Facebook has added several news masks, as well as animated effects. 

4) Screenshotting and sharing

The final feature added is the ability to easily capture and share pictures during video chats, through the camera button at the bottom of the screen.
