News: GeeZzzz: Teen Girl Raped By 38 Men In Malaysia

A Malaysian teenager was gang raped by up to 38 men in an abandoned hut used as a drug haunt, reports today suggest.
The horrendous assault is said to have taken place in the northern state of Kelantan, Malaysia, on May 20.
The girl is said to have met a friend, 17, before being lured to an empty hut - reported to be a drug haunt by local media. There are reports the friend was an accomplice to the alleged rapists.
The men then allegedly took turns to rape the teen for several hours. Some reports are suggesting there may have been up to 38 men involved.
There are reports the girl may have been arrested following the ordeal.
Police are investigating whether the girls friend was also raped.
Malaysian police have arrested at least 13 people, including a father and his two sons, over the alleged gang-rape, an officer said.
All of the men are from the same village, police confirmed.
Investigators claimed reports almost 40 people took turns in the rape may not be accurate - but said they were still investigating the attack.
'It's definitely more than 10. We are still investigating,' one said.

'We are seeing a prevalence in rape cases because boys are raised in an environment where they think it is okay to use violence,' Suri Kempe of Sisters in Islam told Reuters.

Media accounts, quoting information from district police chief Azham Otham, said 38 men were involved.
Several of those detained had tested positive for amphetamine, the reports said. The New Straits Times said a man and his two teenage sons were among those detained.
Police said action could have been taken had villagers reported the addicts' presence.
'It is very disturbing to me that no one in the village was even suspicious when the closest neighbour was a mere 20 metres away,' police chief Azham told The Star.
The alleged attack, one of several brutal cases this week underscoring the violence to which women are being subjected across Asia, sparked outrage among women's groups.

Politicians from a Muslim party running the region said their proposal to introduce Islamic hudud law, with harsh penalties, would deter offenders.
State and federal police officers either declined comment or could not be immediately reached.
Almost 3,000 rapes were reported to the police in Asia in 2012, of which 52 percent involved girls aged 16 and below, according to police statistics.
Convicted rapists face up to 30 years in prison and whipping, but many on Internet sites wanted stricter punishment.

Photos: Killing Spree: Victims of Elliot Roger, Son of #TheHungerGames AD

The killer's parents won't talk about him. That at least is what their friend told CNN on Thursday.Their thoughts are on the other six victims of Friday's KILLING SPREE in Santa Barbara, the friend said.
Elliot Rodger, who fatally stabbed three people and shot three others, himself was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head after crashing his black BMW.
"We are crying in pain for the victims and their families. It breaks our hearts on a level we didn't think possible," Rodger's family said in a statement read by a family friend on "New Day."
"The feeling of knowing that it was our son's actions that caused the tragedy can only be described as hell on Earth."
In a 137-page document, not to mention videos and musings on social media, 22-year-old Rodger hinted that years of rejection and jealousy led him to lash out against beautiful women and popular men.
Simon Astaire, the family friend, shed some light on the kind of person that Rodger was.
"As soon as you met him, he was unbearably reserved, self-contained; he seemed to merge into the walls," he said.
In one brief conversation, Rodger asked Astaire, a novelist, whether writing was a lonely experience.
Astaire described the process as "solitary," and Rodger replied with "I know what you mean" and turned away.
"He seemed the loneliest person in the world," Astaire said.
As the tragedy unfolded near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus, Rodger's parents were putting the clues together that it might be their son who was involved.
His mother received Rodger's manifesto, and after reading just four lines, she immediately went to YouTube to look at the videos her son had posted, Astaire said.
She watched the first 20 seconds of a video titled "Retribution" and then called her ex-husband. Both got on the road toward Santa Barbara as the shooting was unfolding.
The mother's fears were realized when she heard on the radio that a black BMW, like Rodger's, was involved.
"It was the longest journey of their lives and, I would suggest, everyone's nightmare," Astaire said.

Among the victims were Rodger's two roommates and a visitor, Cheng Yuan Hong, 20; George Chen, 19; and Weihan "David" Wang, 20. Each was stabbed to death.
But Rodger didn't stop there. He embarked on a shooting rampage Friday night, killing two young women: Katherine Cooper, 22, and Veronika Weiss, 19, both members of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
He then went into a deli and killed UCSB junior Christopher Martinez, 20, who was getting a sandwich.
Martinez's father, Richard Martinez, has publicly called for stricter gun control laws.
One of the parents of a child killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, wrote an open letter to Richard Martinez.
The tragedy of losing a child to gun violence has made them part of the same extended family, Mark Barden wrote.
"My heart breaks for you because I know just a little about the long road ahead of you," he wrote, encouraging Richard Martinez to continue being an advocate for gun safety regulations.
"You will find your own path down this difficult road," Barden wrote. "But know that we are here for you and all of you who have been touched by this tragedy. Together we can and will build a safer world for all our children."
The firearms shop Shooters Paradise of Oxnard sold Rodger a gun just before the killings, manager Kevin White said.
Rodger had an Isla Vista address and wasn't acting strangely when he bought the gun, White said.
White, an alum of UCSB, said he spoke briefly with Rodger about Isla Vista.
There was a 10-day waiting period -- no red flags arose in the background check -- and then Rodger picked up the gun, White said.
The manager pointed out that a gun wasn't the only weapon used in the killings.
"It happens from time to time, but what about the guy who sold him the knives or the swords that he used, or what about the guy who sold him the car that he was driving around and hit people?" White said.
"Do they feel bad, or did they know he was going to do something bad with it? I mean, we sell tools. They're items. It's no different than the guy that sold him the knife that he used," White said.

George Chen, 19, was at home near the University of California, Santa Barbara, on Friday, May 23, when his roommate Elliot Rodger, 22, went on a deadly rampage. Rodger stabbed Chen and two other people to death at his apartment before shooting and killing three more in a nearby neighborhood, authorities said. More than a dozen others were injured before Rodger died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Veronika Weiss, 19, was killed outside the Alpha Phi sorority house. Her father, Bob Weiss, says she was exactly the kind of person who would want to help Rodger. "She was kind. She was the person who would reach out to the kids who weren't the popular kids, some of the nerdy kids, some of the kids that were a little bit like this Rodger kid described himself as."

News: Boko Haram Has Exposed Nigeria

If a nation is at red alert, yet a terror group like Boko Haram strikes at will and ups the number of its victims, then such a country is obviously a cassava republic that cannot guarantee security of lives and property.
While Aso Rock makes noise about the determination of the government to bring back the abducted Chibok girls and also to finally thumb Boko Haram, the group continues to strike audaciously as it pleases – in Borno (four times, with the recent killing of forty soldiers and policemen), Kano and Plateau (twice).
It seems they want prove that this government has no clue of what it is talking about. Boko Haram wants to tell Nigerians that we live at their mercy. And that our so-called leaders are only making speeches – as usual.
Nigeria is now a laughing stock, especially among Africans, who had seen our country as a giant in the continent and had looked up to us for leadership. A Ghanaian, living in Berlin, had recently joked that they (Ghanians) never knew they were fearing Nigeria for nothing. „So we could have defeated Nigeria in war?“he had jested, due to the inability of the Nigeria State to deal with a little insurgency.
Though a war against terror is a different ballgame, the view of the Ghanian might not necessarily be correct, nevertheless it is representative of how others see us at the moment.

The helplessness of our poorly trained and poorly equipped military (no thanks to corruption) to deal with a hitherto unknown terror group is a national embarrassment with international acclaim. I felt sorry for President Goodluck Jonathan when he was corrected by the United States of America that Boko Haram has nothing to do with Al-qaeda. In their bid to mystify Boko Haram and excuse their inability to crush the group, Jonathan was misled by his intelligence chiefs into believing that Boko Haram is an offshoot of Al-qaeda. And he believed!

Nkem Chidebelu is a student of University of Jos. Her late mother, Monica Chidebelu, an orange seller at the Jos Terminal Market, threw all she got from peeling oranges into making sure her daughter does not end up like her. She sent her to the university to acquire education. While she studied, amid her numerous challenges as the daughter of an orange seller, her mother was her life-wire. Unfortunately, that wire was cut when Nkem's mother was sent to her early grave as terrorists bombed the Jos Terminal market last week.
Speaking to one of the national dailies, Nkem regretted that she was born a Nigerian. She could not understand why the Nigerian government, with the amount of resources at its disposal, can not protect the citizens.

I understand Nkem's disenchantment and frustration. Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala recently revealed that defence takes almost a trillion of the budget. During a press conference in Abuja last Friday, Okonjo-Iweala disclosed that  the Federal Government has released a total amount of N130.7bn to the Ministry of Defence for military operations between January and April this year. She also told journalists that in 2013, N281.51bn was allocated to the three security agencies (Army, Air Force and Navy) in Nigeria. This is almost $2billion US dollars.
Juxtaposed against the impunity with which Boko Haram is killing the citizens, one can only ask: where did this money go? If $2billion dollars were diligently spent in the fight against terror, surely Boko Haram would have been history. As I said on this platform recently, the country is in the mess it is because of depraved corruption. The defence budget has been seen over the years as a big cake to be shared by the top military brass and their collaborators in government.

The result is that we now live in a country that cannot actually be called a country since it is incapable of protecting its citizens. This is also why over 200 Chibok school girls, who thought they could pursue quietly their dreams by seeking education, were taken into bondage by Boko Haram (we should not forget the 59 school boys who were also butchered by the same group in February).
The lives of the Chibok girls got shattered, because like Nkem, they had the misfortune of being born citizens of one country called Nigeria. Whether Jonathan finds them as he promised, with international help, certainly their lives will never be the same again. If they ever return alive, they will forever live with the trauma of their ordeal in the captivity of Boko Haram.

Normally, people aspire to govern because they have a vision or a direction of where they want to take the country or people. But in Nigeria, people aspire to govern because they want to line up their pockets with public funds. This is a national tragedy. Our leaders, apart from being vision-less and clueless, are simply wicked people. They neither love the people nor their country. They never spare time to sit down and figure out what is good for the people and the country.
For them, leadership is a frolic and meeting at midnights to decide how to share the budget. A typical Nigerian leader would do everything to get money to maintain a permanent suite at Hilton Abuja for his girlfriend than to do the least that would benefit the shoeless boy in Otuoke. So is anyone still trying to figure out why we got where we are today?
Nigeria was not run how a normal country should be. The leaders were fooling the people (they foolishly failed to realize that they were in the same boat with the people). That foolishness left Nigeria a skeleton of a nation. Mindless corruption and bad governance reduced the nation to a bubble. Now, Boko Haram has burst that bubble.

News: Bayelsa Speaker’s 90-Year-Old Mother-in-Law Kidnapped

Gun-wielding kidnappers sneaked into a sleepy village around 2 a.m. Friday and seized 90-year-old Ogboro Dark, the mother-in-law of Kombowei Benson, the speaker of the Bayelsa State legislature.
A source said that the gunmen kidnapped the aged woman from her home in Korokorosei, a riverine town in the Southern Ijaw local government area. The source said the armed men shot in the air, frightening other residents of the community. After abducting Mrs. Dark, her kidnappers reportedly sped off in two or three speedboats.
The kidnap of the speaker’s mother-in-law is the second high-profile abduction in Bayelsa, home state of President Goodluck Jonathan. A few weeks ago, SaharaReporters reported the abduction of five Dutch nationals along the waterways of the state. The Dutch victims were subsequently freed under controversial circumstances that fingered the security aides of Governor Seriake Dickson in a bribery scandal with police authorities.
The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Hilary Opara, confirmed the kidnap of Mrs. Dark, assuring that the police were taking steps to rescue the elderly woman from her kidnappers.
Mr. Opara described the action of the kidnappers as “wicked.”
A source said the Bayelsa State police command was following a lead that the aged woman’s abductors are a group of armed gangsters who terrorize innocent people along the coast of Southern Ijaw local government area.

News: Kanye West bans Kim from appearing on 'Kourtney Khloé Take The Hamptons'

Kanye West has allegedly banned Kim Kardashian from appearing on 'Kourtney Khloé Take The Hamptons.'
The brunette beauty previously revealed she would join her sisters for up to a month in the exclusive enclave in Long Island, New York, after her Irish honeymoon, but her new husband doesn't want her to feature in the upcoming 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' spin-off series.
A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: 'There's no way Kanye was going to allow Kim do it. It's no secret how much Kanye dislikes and despises Kim's involvement with reality television, and there was no way it was going to happen so soon after the wedding.
'Kanye doesn't want her doing anymore reality television than she is contractually obligated to do. If Kim does agree to film, it will likely be without Kanye's knowledge beforehand!'
Kim's mother Kris Jenner is said to be 'furious' that Kanye is getting involved in their business.
The insider said: '{She] is furious because she is feeling the pressure from E! and Ryan Seacrest Productions to have Kim on the show instead of her other daughter, Kourtney. The network is afraid that 'Kourtney Khloé Take The Hamptons' will be a ratings disaster because Kim isn't going to be a regular on the series.'
The brunette beauty, 33, recently said she would be flying to The Hamptons in June to visit her sisters while they set-up a pop-up Dash store in the area.
She said: 'I'm probably going to go for a couple of weeks, maybe a month.'
Khloé will move to the plush area this weekend with Kourtney and her family, while Kim and Kanye are in Prague to attend his stylist Renelou Padora's wedding.

News: Brit kidnapped in Dubai by Iranians after testifying before The Hague

A businessman who vanished last year was drugged, put into a sack and shipped off to Iran, a court was told.
Details of how British citizen Abbas Yazdi went missing emerged as the trial of a gang accused of his kidnap began in Dubai.
Only one of the seven men accused of the dad’s disappearance appeared at Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday. Three others are in custody and three more are still on the run.
The man confessed to kidnapping but denied assault, robbery and causing danger to Yazdi’s life.
Prosecutors said six men kidnapped the businessman, who is of Iranian origin, just one day before he was due to testify via video to a court in The Hague about a case launched against an Iranian national oil company.
A 33-year-old Emirati police officer said that the force learned some Iranian men had kidnapped Yazdi and then drugged him and drove him in a rental car to Sharjah.
The officer said Yazdi was smuggled out of the country on a dhow. But police arrested three men in Dubai while they were celebrating the success of their kidnapping.
The judge adjourned the case until June 15. Yazdi’s wife has been told by the UK Foreign Office it is believed he died during the abduction – but this has not been confirmed.

News: If you touch my child, l will kill you- Funmi Iyanda

Funmi Iyanda has expressed her opinion on men who beat their women, saying they should be excommunicated from churches. She also gave ladies few rules and made them understand they are the captain of their own ship. “No family/church/institution should encourage a daughter to return to an abusive relationship/marriage. If you touch my child, l will kill you.

‘Girls, rule 1. There are no princes anywhere waiting to rescue you. You own and owe you; not him or anyone else. Leave at first slap. “Churches, if not so concerned with the bottom line of patronage would ex communicate abusive men or women,’’ she said. Funmi got upset and made those statements when a Twitter user with the handle @Moe narrated how a man almost took the life of his wife who is nursing a baby and how her efforts to separate them was fruitless.
Here Is How Moe Explained What She Witnessed;

“My hands are shaking. I have never seen a woman being beaten like that in my entire life. I have never. I was driving when I noticed strange movements inside a car that was driving in front of me. Before it stopped so abruptly, I noticed weird movements in the driver and front passenger seats. I wasn’t wearing my glasses. As the car stopped, I came down (from) my car to holler. Next thing I saw clearly. The man (driver) was punching the passenger so hard. He was beating her so ferociously. All windows were up. There was a baby in a baby car seat behind. I kept hitting the windows, at last the man rolled down. At this time I was so furious. “How dare you beat a woman like that?’ was all I kept saying. The man replied ‘I am not a mad man that I will just be beating her for no reason; ask her what she did. See my shirt. She tore it.’ “I went to the passenger’s side, opened the door and asked the woman to come down. She said ‘I do not have anywhere else to go.’ She sat there in the car, the man kept beating her. As he was beating her, he kept screaming ‘How many times? How many times?’ “I kept begging the woman to come down. She just closed the door and rolled up and he kept beating her”. I kept hitting the car. Then, they drove off. I don’t even know how to react. I am still on that spot, trying to make sense of what I just experienced.”

Photos: Unbelievable: Floyd Mayweather paid Nicki Minaj THAT MUCH to show up @ daughter's birthday

If you think it costs a lot to book Nicki Minaj to perform at your party, you won’t believe how much it costs just to get her to show up.
TMZ reports that Floyd Mayweather spared no expense for his daughter Iyanna Mayweather’s birthday bash last weekend. The boxer reportedly rented out the entire MGM ballroom in Las Vegas – because where else would you host a 14-year-old’s birthday party?
The extravagance didn’t stop there. Mayweather reportedly paid Nicki Minaj $50,000 to pose for photos and sign autographs. Nicki is said to have stayed for about an hour.
Not a bad way to cop a check, huh?
To top it all off, Floyd gifted his little princess a seriously iced-out gold watch that any jewelry collector would be jealous of!
This is one lucky little girl. We can’t wait to see what Floyd does for her Sweet Sixteen…

News: LOL: Naija Babes, Don't Come & Suffer In Jand By Ruonah Agbroko Meyer

NAIJA BABES, DON’T COME AND SUFFER IN JAND by Ruonah Agbroko Meyer

Dear Nigerian girls, it’s time to wake up and smell the kunu! Why? Because many of your predecessors now litter the streets, parties, churches and workplaces of London complaining to everyone, including complete strangers, about how they were tricked by men into “coming to suffer in jand.”
This is one area where ignorance is grief, not bliss.  And so, if you have a bobo in Jand who is asking you to come over and join him in paradise, here are specific signs you have to look for, to be sure that his net worth equals his current bed-worth.
  1. His house
He says he lives in London; don’t get all relaxed because no be like dat. Ask him where exactly, and try to visit, or ask him to show you around via Skype. If he lives in a council flat you’ll know; they often look somewhat like 1004 flats, with none of the prestige or famous tenants like Tiwa Savage.
If you visit and discover that the area smells then it is likely to be a council flat because, often, the trash is never collected on time. Now go inside. If the guy says he lives alone, look about for his pictures. If there are none and if the guy isn’t comfortable showing you the kitchen on Skype, or he leads you to chill in the room throughout your stay, then he is in a glorified “room-and-parlour” situation, aka flat-share. Electricity bills are also important. If you see none, then “there is problem.” It means your boo is definitely sharing the flat with others and therefore they pay for electricity using a pre-paid stick, just like a recharge card. The problem with this is that you may marry into that house and one day, while you are having a bath the light, water and everything else will go off because your oga or flatmates cannot pay. Even worse is if your oga-to-be has no flatmates but decides to use a pre-paid stick; that definitely confirms he is Ebenezer Scrooge. Be wise. So that cold no go kill you. Ehen, here is a picture of the stick and payment cards, so you can recognise it if you see it in his flat or in a picture.

  1. TV habits
In my dating years I avoided guys who didn’t have Cable TV. Don’t judge me biko. Who would you encourage your daughter to date; someone who has StarTimes or someone who has DSTV? Oho!
In Jand, the equivalent of DSTV is Sky TV – full Sky subscription costs £807 annually. Any guy willing to shell that out is a keeper; he appreciates the finer things of life, and the channels will keep you busy and happy when you move to Jand. You’ll still be able to watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians and TLC. But be aware, there is a cheaper Sky subscription, which doesn’t give you movies and sports, costing £258 annually. Give such guys a miss and take the man who has Virgin Media TV with TiVo because this is better, even if with fewer channels. The best men use the full package of broadband and telephone calls – it shows they don’t do things by half. So when you relocate, you won’t suffer from lack of internet and can update your Facebook and Instagram every second with those #IwokeUpLikeThis selfies.

Again, here is a picture of the distinctive Sky box and remote control to help your hustle.
sky box
Sky box
*In addition, steer clear of guys who only watch “catch-up TV” on their iPads. It shows they don’t even have a TV, much less Sky at home. RUN from a guy who has letters warning him he will be prosecuted for not paying his TV license. These types are either illegal immigrants hoping to soon disappear from their current address or worse; they own flat screen TVs and use Sky but won’t pay for a TV license because as ELdee warned us already;  all na wash. Remove those Louboutins and…TAKE OFF.
  1. Correspondence
Forget passports; visas can be faked. To get an accurate grasp of his immigration status and living arrangements, say you want to send him a letter from Nigeria and get his address. Once you have a postcode, you can search online on the electoral roll (our voters’ register in Jand) to see if the guy lives alone, or is shacking up with someone else (real wife or flatmate).
Why the electoral roll? Because it not only confirms the address, it shows that the bobo has some claim to Jand. To be on the electoral roll, you have to be a British citizen or a UK resident. Even better is to google the dates of elections in Jand and ask him in conversation if he will vote, then proceed to shriek with delight and tell him to take a selfie with his letter of notification. If you are visiting, sift through his post…you will see such documents and then you can breathe.

  1. Mobile phone tinz
Finally, take note during those long calls he makes to you in Nigeria where he says he loves you more than his mother. If he continues to complain about “network,” innocently ask him what service provider he uses. If he says 02, Vodafone, EE then all is well. The minute he says “Lebara,” then be aware you may have a stingy cheapskate on your hands.
Lebara is some provider that gives free minutes to Nigeria and is basically for the masses, who only tolerate the shitty network because of the “1,000 free minutes.” If he is so keen on CUTTING COSTS that he sticks with Lebara then he is probably CUTTING SHOWS and using the free minutes to call other ladies because they do free minutes to Ghana as well. Just saying.
And regarding the actual handset, be wary of any guy who visits Nigeria with tons of phones for sale, which all need unlocking. Clearly he has taken out numerous contracts on those phones and is living off credit. The best kind of guys in jand buy their gadgets upfront, with no fuss, no debt. You gerrit?.
If you visit, check for such contracts and bills. You might as well keep an eye out for bank statements because you can’t go wrong with those.
Again, you can also quickly look at the type of grocery bags in the house. If they are from Waitrose and M&S, then marry the guy. If his bags show he shops at ASDA and Morissons, there’s potential. For those who only shop at Poundland and Iceland, I suggest you do an Usain Bolt, except you are NOT allergic to poverty.

So, there you have it, ladies. You can see that I have gone to great detail to save you lot from all these wash-wash jand guys. Don’t be fooled by their fresh skin (the weather gives it to us all for free) and don’t get carried away by their pot-bellies straining against TM Lewin shirts (food is cheap and they wait till TM Lewin does sales).

Video: LOL: See How A kid’s Adorable Drawing Left His Dad Stranded In Another Country

Kids love to draw and child psychologists even say that it is good for their development. However, there is a time and place for everything. One four-year-old child of China, left his father stranded after he scribbled all over the passport when the two were on a trip to South Korea. The child used the passport as a coloring book and colored into his father’s eyes, and drew whiskers and a beard!!! LOL
Correct Vincent Van Gogh thingz (hahaha), if your kid did that, what would you do???

Audio: Maya Angelou's dispatcher suspended for making negative comments about Oprah

An emergency dispatcher who made disparaging remarks about Oprah Winfrey during the Maya Angelou 911 call has been suspended, ET has learned.
Listen to the Maya Angelou 911 Call HERE.
EMS Director Dan Ozimek gave a statement to ET, saying, "These comments are unacceptable and we have opened an internal investigation to look into the circumstances surrounding this event."
John Ruckh was heard on the 911 tape saying that Oprah, a friend of Angelou's had "fallen out of grace" after a controversial interview in which Oprah expressed her thoughts about race in America.
"Unfortunately, I work in a high-profile job and everything's recorded," Ruckh told the Winston-Salem Journal. "This is in no way a racial slur, slander, associated conversation ... I really hate that this happened at the time that it did, because this is taking away from Maya Angelou's passing."
Dr. Angelou died at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Wednesday at age 86.

She was born on April 4, 1928 in St. Louis and in the 1960s served as the northern coordinator for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. She also worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcom X. Among her achievements, she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011 and the Lincoln Medal in 2008.
After Angelou's passing, Oprah gave this statement to ET: "I've been blessed to have Maya Angelou as my mentor, mother/sister, and friend since my twenties. She was there for me always, guiding me through some of the most important years of my life. The world knows her as a poet but at the heart of her, she was a teacher. 'When you learn, teach. When you get, give,' is one of my best lessons from her. But what stands out to me most about Maya Angelou is not what she has done or written or spoken, it's how she lived her life. She moved through the world with unshakeable calm, confidence and a fierce grace. I loved her and I know she loved me. I will profoundly miss her. She will always be the rainbow in my clouds."

Culled from ET.

News: Read what google is planning to do to TV next month

Google is gearing up to unveil Android TV at Google I/O, the company's big developers conference in San Francisco next month.

Android TV won't be a device, but a platform that TV and set-top box manufacturers can use, GigaOm reports.
Google is expected to offer services like Netflix and Hulu Plus, according to the report. It's also expected to partner with some hardware companies to run Android TV.
Internally at Google, Android TV'S interface is known as "Pano." Somewhat similar to the Netflix layout, Android TV will present its content in a series of cards.
The idea with Android TV is that you'll be able to immediately play a TV show, movie, or video game from the moment you turn it on. That means you won't need to launch the Netflix app in order to watch shows "Orange Is the New Black" or "House of Cards." Instead, you just select the show and voila! With traditional smart TV platforms, you have to launch the Netflix app in order to watch shows.
Previous reports said Android TV will support voice and input notifications, as well as a recommendation engine.
Android TV is Google's third foray into the TV space. Google previously launched Google TV — the company's failed attempt at bringing a smartphone-like experience to your TV. Meanwhile, it has the Chromecast, which Google will continue to sell, according to previous reports. There's still no word on how much Android TV will cost, but Google is expected to announce it in June.

Photos: GEJ, Dame, Obasanjo Et Al At Sir Michael Otedola's Burial

An ex Governor of Lagos State, Sir Michael Otedola, was buried in his native town of Epe, Lagos State, on Friday May 30, 2014.
The ceremony was held amidst tight security, as some of the top people of Nigeria were in attendance.
The list of those who personally honoured late Otedola included President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife Patience, ex President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Fashola and his wife Abimbola. Former governors of Ogun and Anambra states, Olusegun Osoba and Peter Obi, were also in attendance.
It would be noted that it was the first meeting between the president and OBJ since Obasanjo has proposed a peaceful resolution of 47-day-long crisis with missing Chibok girls, and declared that he would ask President Jonathan’s permission to act in an ‘alternative’ way to get the students released.
The sermon was delivered by Monsignor Philip Hoteyin, Chaplain of Marian Shrine, Lagos Catholic Diocese, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ibowon, Epe. The chaplain addressed President Goodluck Jonathan, urged him to strengthen the unity in Nigeria.
Sir Michael Otedola DIED at the age of 87 on May 5, 2014. He took the post of the governor in January 1992 and left this position in November 1993. The deceased is the father of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola.
May Sir Otedola's soul R.I.P

Photos: Twintastic Fact.......Interesting

Twins, and sometimes even non-twin siblings, are hard to tell apart, yet two sisters have gone the extra mile to confuse people around them. Kathy Heffernan and Rosey Coles are identical twin sisters, and have worn the exactly same outfits every day, for 14 years. As teenagers they used to do this, up until they both got married and lived further apart from each other. When they both remarkably became single at the same time, they made the decision to resume their fashion coordination scheme. This does not only include day time clothes, but is said to encompass every scenario from work, play, shopping, holidays and even for bed.
They are now 60 years old!

Photos: Fact: Chocolate Thief

A self-declared 47 year old chocolate addict has got himself in a sticky mess. Luis Augusto Mora has been sentenced to five months in one of Columbia’s harshest prisons for stealing $8 (€5.84) worth of Jumbo bars at a supermarket, where he will serve time alongside the most hardened criminals and drug-traffickers in the country. A statement claims that the chocolate thief is expressing regret, saying that he will never again touch a chocolate in his life after his not-so-sweet jail sentence.
