A photograph dated June 27 was posted to the official White House website and Twitter page on Wednesday, showing Mr. Trump, along with his daughter, Ivanka, posing with two Chibok girls identified as Joy Bishara and Lydia Pogu.
The White House did not release a statement regarding the Chibok girls’ visit.
Ms. Bishara and Ms. Pogu were among the 276 students who were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State in 2014.
Pulse NG reports that the two Chibok girls moved to Virginia after regaining their freedom. They recently graduated from Canyonville Christian Academy in Virginia and will attend Southeastern University in Florida at the start of the next academic session.
At the time of publication, it remains unclear when the two Chibok girls were freed from Boko Haram captivity. It would be recalled that the terrorist group released 82 abducted schoolgirls in May in exchange for two Boko Haram commanders who had been detained by the Nigerian government.
