Photos: Kim Kardashian meets with President Trump

Yesterday, Wedenesday May 30, Kim Kardashian met with Donald Trump on her quest to get Alice Marie Johnson released from prison.

Alice, a 62-year-old great-grandmother was handed a life sentence without parole for a first-time nonviolent drug offense. She’s been behind bars for more than 20 years.
Kim has been a vocal advocate for the 62-year-old great mother ever since Mic profiled her in a video piece in October 2017. Since then, Kardashian has been working toward Johnson’s release and has even enlisted the help of her personal attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley.
Kim took to Twitter to thank Trump for his time.

I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.

We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she —and so many like her—will get a second chance at life.
