Photos: Nigerians Ranked 2nd Most Generous People In Africa & 21st In The World

According to a survey carried out by an international charity group, Kenyans have been ranked as the most generous people in Africa.

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), revealed, according to the World Giving Index 2014 conducted by international research firm Gallup that Kenyans scored a World Giving Index of 49%. 
The score ranks Kenyans 15th globally and 1st in Africa.

In the top 20 list, Kenyans top and Nigerians come in second in the continent and 21st globally. 
South Africans come 3rd in Africa and a distant 34th in the world.

At the bottom of the table in Africa is Egypt.

Respondents in the study were surveyed on volunteering time, donating money to a charity and helping a stranger.
Kenya scored 67% when it comes to helping strangers, 47% on volunteering time to an organization and 33% on donating money to charities.

On the overall list, Myanmar ranks 1st followed by United States of America, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia  in that order.
