He first left Globacom in 2003 for Enyi Odibo-led DDB Lagos before joining Insight/Grey. He was rated as one of the most cerebral marketing communication specialists in Nigeria. He indicated interest to contest on the platform of Accord Party for the governorship ticket of Akwa Ibom State. He attended University of Calabar between 1982 and 1986 where he bagged B.Sc Political Science. He also attended Federal Government College, Warri from 1976 to 1981.
In his last post on Facebook on June 23 at 14:40, Iyanam wrote,
“Obasanjo is one of the most hypocritical leaders in Nigeria – Soyinka.
…..and you are perhaps the biggest empty talker around, Prof! Now that you have just realised Obasanjo’s hypocrisy, can you show us proof of some of his hypocrisy? Is it possible? If so, please do not delay. We are just plain tired of talk and counter-talk!”
He was 52 years old.
