You’ve got to hold your own against 007’s notorious womanising ways, have glamour, charm, and know how to handle a gun (not being shy of a swimsuit is probably a bonus too). It’s a task that has both built and broken almost 90 actress’ careers in 50 years. Halle Berry - Giacinta “Jinx” Johnson in ‘Die Another Day’ (2002) – After the ‘Movie 43’ mistake, Oscar winner Halle is now returning in ‘X-Men: Days Of future Past’, out summer 2014

Teri Hatcher - Paris Carver in Tomorrow Never Dies’ (1997) – TV’s Lois Lane bagged a Golden Globe for ‘Desperate Housewives’, and recently did voice work for ‘Planes’

Michelle Yeoh - Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies’ (1997) – The BAFTA-nominated actress is currently working on a sequel to martial arts epic, ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’

Famke Janssen - Xenia Onatopp in ‘Goldeneye’ (1995) – Most recognised now as Jean Grey from the ‘X-Men’ movies, Famke’s also starred in ‘Taken’ and Netflix horror ‘Hemlock Grove’ 

Izabella Scorupco - Natalya Simonova in ‘Goldeneye’ (1995) – Izabella hosted the 2012 series of ‘Sweden’s Next Top Model’, having recently reprised an early 90s singing career

Carey Lowell - Pam Bouvier in ‘Licence To Kill’ (1989) – She did voice work in the 2012 videogame ‘007 Legends’. After marrying Richard Gere in 2002 they’ve reportedly now separated

Maryam d’Abo - Kara Milovy in ‘The Living Daylights’ (1987) – Maryam’s still attends Bond events, and is appearing in upcoming Indian movie ‘White Lies’

Tanya Roberts - Stacey Sutton in ‘A View To A Kill’ (1985) – The former ‘Charlie’s Angels’ actress retired in 2006, and wrote the foreword for a 2008 guide to the show

Grace Jones - May Day in ‘A View To A Kill’ (1985) – Grace Jones may have last acted in 2008, but she’s still known as a musical legend, and is considered a style icon  

Maud Adams - Octopussy in ‘Octopussy’ (1983) – She’s a double Bond girl, having played Andrea Anders in ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’, and still attends the premieres 

Lynn-Holly Johnson - Bibi Dahl in ‘For Your Eyes Only’ (1981) – Lynn won a Golden Raspberry for Worst Supporting Actress in 1985, last appearing in a 2010 DTV movie

Carole Bouquet - Melina Havelock in ‘For Your Eyes Only’ (1981) – Still acting in France, the actress bagged the Best Actress César in 1989 for ‘Too Beautiful For You’

Lois Chiles - Holly Goodhead in ‘Moonraker’ (1979) – She had a cameo in ‘Austin Powers’, with her last acting credit coming in 2006

Caroline Munro - Naomi in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ (1977) – ‘Sinbad’ star Caroline is still keeping her sci-fi/horror career going, and is a regular at conventions

Barbara Bach - Anya Amasova in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ (1977) – She married Ringo Starr in 1981, and made an appearance in 1987’s Playboy ‘Bond Girl’ special

Kristina Wayborn - Magda in ‘Octopussy’ (1983) – Winner of Miss Scandinavia 1971, Kristina played the “Sorceress” in 2005 martial arts movie ‘Forbidden Warrior’

Britt Ekland - Mary Goodnight in ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’ (1974) – ‘Wicker Man’ star Britt most recently appeared in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ 2010

Gloria Hendry - Rosie Carver in ‘Live And Let Die’ (1973) – The first ever African-American Bond girl. The former Playboy Bunny published her memoirs in 2013

Jane Seymour - Solitaire in ‘Live And Let Die’ (1973) – Jane now has an Emmy and two Golden Globe awards, and is most recognised as Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman

Lana Wood - Plenty O’Toole in ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ (1971) – She’s the sister of the late Natalie Wood, and is still doing meet & greets at fan conventions
