A day after Dubai won the bid to host Expo 2020, the Dubai stock market reacted positively to the news with the index rising 2.70 per cent early on today.
The DFM index was at 2,981 points, jumping 60 points, at 10.30 am.
Finance/Investment Index was up 4.53 per cent, Banks 2.62 per cent and Real Estate 2.40 per cent.
Deyaar Developments was up 4.77 per cent at Dh 0.725; Dubai Investments rose 4.35 per cent to Dh 2.40 while Union Properties jumped 4.21 per cent to Dh 0.990 at 10.30 am.
Mashreq Bank surged 10.60 per cent at Dh 91.80.
