Fergie & Josh Duhamel separate after 8 years of marriage

Josh Duhamel have split after eight years of marriage.

The newly-estranged spouses announced their separation Thursday in a joint statement, revealing they broke up earlier this year but wanted to keep the news private until the time was right.
“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the singer and actor said in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
Fergie and Duhamel began dating in September 2004 after meeting on the set of his TV series “Las Vegas” while she and the Black Eyed Peas filmed a cameo. The pair became engaged in December 2007, and got married in a Catholic ceremony in January 2009. In August 2013, they welcomed their first and only child, a boy named Axl Jack.
While it’s true that the couple is now separating, some tabloids have busted false rumors of them breaking up for a number of years. In 2009, for example, Star maintained the pair was going their separate ways because “Josh is a homebody, while Fergie would rather be on stage or out at a club.” At the time, a source close to the couple said it was “not true,” and of course the two remained married for another 8 years. Then in 2015, OK! also alleged Fergie and Duhamel were “on the rocks.” The tabloid claimed Fergie was married to her music, leaving Duhamel “stuck at home being Mr. Mom” and “starting to get lonely.” That was false as well, but sadly, Fergie and Duhamel have now called it quits.
