Police in Dubai want to question the ex-fiancee of football superstar Diego Maradona following a claim that she stole more than Dhs1 million/$274,000 worth of jewellery and watches from the Argentine’s home in the emirate.
An official at Dubai Public Prosecution confirmed that an arrest warrant has been issued for 24-year-old sales executive Rocio Oliva (far right) after 1986 World Cup-winning captain Maradona (right) filed a complaint with police.Oliva, who is also Argentinian, is believed to have already left the UAE and is back in her homeland.
“We issued the arrest warrant against the woman and are looking to extradite her and bring her back to Dubai for questioning based on a case launched by Maradona in Ports Police Station,” said the unnamed official. “For the moment she is charged with theft from the villa.”
