News: 2014 GlobeRunner Award Winners: Best Airport, Dubai International Airport: Full List

With passenger traffic rising to 18,361,820 in the first quarter of 2014, an increase of 11.4 per cent from the 16,486,417 from Q1 2013, the airport continues to impress. Total aircraft movements also increased in Q1 of this year to reach 94,694, a 3.9 per cent increase from the 91,130 movements recorded in Q1 2013.
Taking place at the Seäsonal Restaurant & Weinbar in midtown Manhattan, New York City, the award ceremony honoured the world’s top hotel groups, airlines, airports, car rental agencies, travel websites, business class lounges and many more.
The winners were selected by online votes cast between March 14 and May 31. The number of votes grew 40 per cent this year, when compared with 2013, to reach more than 150,000 this year.
