Today, a Libyan fighter jet crashed in the restive eastern city of Benghazi amid fighting between military men and forces loyal to a renegade former army general. The plane was being used to engage in paramilitary attacks in the eastern city, Yahoo News reports. It is unclear whether the aircraft was shot down or if it experienced a malfunction. However, the pilot ejected safely from the plane before the crash.
