News: Street to be named after the late Komla Dumor

The Ghana Government has agreed to proposals to name a street after ace Joy FM presenter Komla Afeke Dumor. The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, announced that the government has directed the Ketu South District Assembly, where Komla Dumor hailed from, to name a street after him.
The MP, who is also the Minister of Trade and Industry was speaking in Parliament on Thursday, where MPs spent time to eulogise Komla Dumor, a former host of Joy FM’s flagship programme, Super Morning Show.
Earlier on, the Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Fifi Kwetey read a statement to that effect.
According to the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Adwoa Safo, it is necessary for a street to be named after the late Komla Dumor to recognize his contribution to the country as a journalist.
