News: Awww, CNN Ends 'Piers Morgan Live'

Morgan's guests in 2014 have included Jordan Belfort, the subject of the movie The Wolf Of Wall Street

Piers Morgan has revealed that his CNN talk show is set to end within a matter of weeks after failing to attract the size of audience the network hoped it would for its coveted 9pm slot.Three years after taking over from Larry King, ratings for Piers Morgan Live have not matched rivals such as Fox News and MSNBC, causing network president Jeffrey Zucker to pull the plug on the British journalist. 

The date of the last show has yet to be decided.

Morgan said talks were under way about him taking on a different role at CNN. 
According to the Nielsen ratings (via The L.A. Times), one of last week's episodes attracted a measly 300,000 viewers.
"It's been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings," he told The NY Times. "Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it. That's run its course and [CNN President] Jeff [Zucker] and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me."
