News: Still On The Matter: Ebola & The #ALSIceBucketChallenge

I am sorry if I sound like a broken record, but one thing still baffles me and I won't stop asking until I get a good answer!
Here's the story:
I woke up yesterday to the great news of British and American citizens recovering from Ebola and ironically to "Ebola: Nigeria confirms 7 deaths, 18 patients including sister of late Port Harcourt doctor- Health Minister" and my question is this: Where did we go wrong?
Isn't it devastating to hear that while some people are dying of Ebola, others are recovering?
Why can't America make in large quantity and release the experimental drug, ZMapp or whatever it is they are using to cure their own Ebola-infected citizens?
And to think that it was an American-Liberian man who brought this deadly disease to Nigeria, one would have thought that they would have come to our rescue in the twinkle of an eye!
Isn't it disheartening?
Now, back to the #ALSIceBucketChallenge issue.
A lot of Nigerian and African "celebrities" like Genevieve Nnaji, Don Jazzy et al took part in this cause for these Americans but how many Americans are aware of our own "Always-wash-your-hands" Ebola campaign? How many of them are raising this Ebola awareness and how are they making it viral?
How many of them have seen Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh's Ebola campaign video and are they by any chance spreading the word, like we did theirs?
Do they know how creative some West African countries have been with their Ebola campaigns?
Has any one seen an Instavid or a video on YouTube of who now, say Selena Gomez washing her hands and saying "Ebola is real, always wash your hands to reduce getting infected?"
So now you see what is baffling and upsetting me!!!
Still I write.......TBW.
