News: Justin Bieber arrested in Ontario for crashing ATV & fighting with the driver

Ontario Provincial Police spokesman Kees Wijnands has issued a statement regarding Justin Bieber's arrest on Friday: "Justin Bieber was arrested on Friday, August 29th shortly before 3:00 pm local time. Perth County Provincial Police responded to a call about an accident involving an ATV and a mini-van. Investigation revealed, the driver of ATV and an occupant of mini-van engaged in a physical altercation. Bieber was arrested and has been charged with two counts of criminal code offenses, dangerous driving and assault. He has since been released on a 'promise to appear' and agreed to attend court in Stratford, Ontario, Canada on September 29th." Wijnands added that OPP does not release booking photos.
Meanwhile, a rep for Justin issued a statement on behalf of the singer: "Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez' peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi," said rep Brian H. Greenspan in a statement. "This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated with the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved."

Any hopes that Justin Bieber would clean up his act now that he's back in Canada were dashed when the bad boy pop star was arrested Friday afternoon in Perth County, Ontario, after crashing his ATV into a minivan and then getting into a fight with the driver.
As TMZ reports, local police say there was a "a physical altercation between Justin and the other driver after they had a collision."
Justin was reportedly charged with dangerous driving and assault. He was released, and will be called to appear in court later this month.
As TMZ points out, though, Justin's latest brush with the law could have serious repercussions, since he's currently on probation for two years after egging his neighbour's L.A. house, and it's possible his Ontario arrest could be seen as a parole violation.
Following his arrest, Justin posted the immediate photo below on Instagram:
