Photos: Thank God it didn't happen: Madonna wanted to wear THIS to MET gala, Anna Wintour said NO

Anna Wintour rejected Madonna’s ‘outfit’ that she intended to wear to the Met Gala, deeming it far too risqué for the red carpet.
Well, to be fair - duct tape is hardly formal wear.
The singer posted a snap of her intended ‘outfit’ with a Photoshopped ‘Censored’ across her vital bits (or should that be nips?).
However, she had planned to wear the tape to the Met Ball minus the Photoshopping which would have caused quite the stir we are sure.
In fact, we are pretty glad that La Wintour intervened for the sake of our poor eyes.
"Censored." Madonna captioned the pic: "What i wanted to wear to Met Ball but Anna said Not this year! So I'm gonna work on music instead? #artforfreedom"
Yep, Madge doesn’t sound too thrilled with the fashion editor’s decision.
We suppose with a body like that at the age of 55 Madonna was just keen to get her bits out and show it off.
However, it is Ms Wintour who has the final say on all the looks that sashay down the red carpet at the annual event and sadly, in this instance access was denied – even to the Queen of Pop.
