It’s a sad, sad day in the BeyHive.
Yosra El-Essawy, Beyoncé’s tour photographer, has succumbed to cancer, according to a post on the QueenBey Tumblr. Yosra, who was 33, was the women behind some of the most iconic Beyoncé's pics over the last couple of years.
People who’ve followed Yosra on her Instagram are familiar with her story. About a year and a half ago, Yosra was diagnosed with stage 4, inoperable esophageal cancer. During that span of time, she posted many videos and pictures updating fans on her status.
Last August, during her Mrs. Carter Show stop, Beyoncé dedicated a performance of “Halo” to her friend.
What a sad day. We send our condolences to Yosra’s friends and family.
