News: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Nominated For Forbes Africa Person Of The Year With 2 Other Prominent Nigerians

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Aliko Dangote, and Arunma Oteh have been nominated in this year’s Forbes Africa Person of The Year award. Chimamanda, known for her acclaimed book “Half a Yellow Sun” and her talk on TED “We Should All Be Feminists” could be the first writer to win the award if the cards fall her way.
She will be going up against fellow Nigerians, Arunma Oteh, the director-general of the Securities and Exchange Commission since 2010 – responsible for the regulation of the country’s capital markets, which includes the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and business mogul Aliko Dangote, documented as the richest man in Africa.
Other nominees are Thuli Madonsela (South Africa) and Donald Kaberuka (Rwanda) President of the African Development Bank.
