Eid al-Adha holiday announced for UAE public sector workers

The UAE's Eid al-Adha holiday has been announced as a nine-day break, according to the UAE Cabinet.
The Emirates News Agency has announced that federal departments and ministries (the public sector) will be off from Sunday, 19 August until Thursday, 23 August, with official work resuming on Sunday, 26 August. You read correctly, that means that anyone with a public sector job will have a nine-day break. Holidays for the private sector have not yet been announced, - meaning that the break will span over nine days.
The break for private sector is yet to be announced, but we'll keep you in the loop when it is.
