CNN's Don Lemon took it upon himself Tuesday night to explain how a woman who accused actor Bill Cosby of rape could have avoided the situation -- explicitly, that she should have used her teeth as a weapon.Lemon sat down Tuesday night with Joan Tarshis, a former actress who said this week that Cosby raped her in 1969. The two had this extremely awkward exchange:

Like, honestly, I have no words. This from a guy whose life story include sex abuse, and he asks this question? I know he's not the brightest guy - and that's me being nice - but this is too far even for him. He has displayed on a whole host of occassions, now, a total lack of empathy for victims of various abuse and crimes. He loves to talk down to other black people, and now he's doing it to sex abuse victims. This is a black gay dude who has suffered sexual abuse as a child, and he all too often has the bearings of a straight, white Christian conservative.

It's a stupid, insulting question. If someone doesn't fight back during an assault, it could very well be because he or she is scared of what would happen as a result. That fear is logical given that he or she is in the middle of being assaulted. Done and done.
