It comes as no surprise that, hold on a second, it comes as a huge surprise that in the number 1 spot it's the King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej. He is sitting on a cool net worth of $35 billion. This educated leader donates a lot of money to rural developments in Thailand and has even been known to get his hands dirty working on the land himself!

The Sultan of Brunei is the second wealthiest royal. He's worth around $20 billion, and as expected he lives in a palace, but not just any palace, he lives in the Istana Nurul Iman, which is the second-largest palace in the world.

Coming in at number 3 with an estimated net worth of $18 billion, it's King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, of Saudi Arabia. He has four wives, at least they can help him spend all that money.

The Emir's neighbour in Dubai is the 5th wealthiest royal, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum - the ruler of Dubai is valued at $4.5 billion. Fun fact about Mohammed bin Rashid at one time he owned the largest yacht in the world at 40 metres.

Queen Elizabeth II takes the 9th spot, she might be the most well recognized royal but she isn't the wealthiest, in fact she doesn't even have $1 billion to her name!
