News: President Jonathan today confirms Suleiman Abba as the new Police IG

President Goodluck Jonathan today, Tuesday November 04, 2014 confirmed Suleiman Abba as substantive Inspector General of Police.

The President’s media aide, Dr. Reuben Abati made this disclosure via his Twitter handle @abati1990 on Tuesday.

He tweets:

It could be recalled that Abba was appointed the acting IGP on August 1 after the retirement of the ex police chief, Mohammed Ababakar.

He is the country’s 17th indigenous police boss.
