News: 'Mankind' written by one of Awolowo's grand children, Ladi Soyode

I just came across this lovely message in a poetic form on one of Ladi Soyode's social media pages.
Ladi who is a lawyer and a grand child of the Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo is a Special Advisor at the State Government of Osun.
He wrote:
"Mankind is not kind at all, stop this rat race if not, it will kill us all."
This is spot on, a message to everybody from all walks-of-life. Read on:

When nature made way for factories and cities took over wetlands, and lagoons shrunk to puddles, mankind was proud, hauty to think he tamed nature, the seas and hurricane winds, the deep Jungle and malaria fever, the wild planes of the Americas and all the open spaces on earth, and the submerged places beneath the oceans, secret places of our forebears that tells the tales we ought to learn, we prod the face of the moon, outer space the new frontier as fossil fuels and acid rains claim the only home for mankind and all beasts both of land and of the air, when will the factories close?
When will all engines stop running? When will the lights be turned off?
And the sun will rule the day and the moon the night, assisted by guiding stars, not even a candle light, and we can again spot shooting stars.
Mankind is not kind at all, stop this rat race if not, it will kill us all.
