News & Photos: How It Went Down At Clé Restaurant Dubai Launch

A few days ago, I received an invite for the launch of the much talked about Clé restaurant and when I was called to confirm my reservation, I was told that TBW had a table for four.
Four? Wow!!!

This invitation was for 'food tasting'/dinner which I had never experienced before. 
In this, I was certain I had to look out for their customer service amongst other things and with my ten years experience in the Customer care department in two of Nigeria's biggest telecommunication outfits (Multilinks & Globacom), I wasn't shaken.
So, a friend of mine from Nigeria who is on vacation here was my plus one and that evening, we got to the venue at 9 even though our dinner was slated for 9.30, we were still welcomed with smiling faces, taken to our non-dining seats and given the drink menu. 
I ordered for a kiwi mocktail and when it was half 9 sharp, we were taken to our table and given the food menu. 
Wow, I was a little confused there, but with the assistance of Sarah, who waited on our table all night, we were finally able to place our food orders.
For starters, we had Fatayer chicken, spinach and falafel; Main course- Basteya duck, Musakhan chicken, Mashed potato, Halouni fritters with honey and for dessert, fruits and ice-cream..................all fresh, tasteful and beautifully presented.
To say that EVERYTHING we had was delicious would not be exaggeration!
My thought was since it was food tasting, they would come in small portions but NO, we were served 'properly'! 
Let me give you a brief description of this place.
Clé is a french word that means key.
Clé Dubai, a 5-star restaurant offering Middle Eastern cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Greg Malouf is located in Al Fattan Currency House, DIFC Dubai.
The venue boasts of an outdoor terrace with a view of the Burj Khalifa, as well as a VIP area with an exclusive entrance for more intimate functions, a DJ booth, beautiful bar and a generally conducive ambiance.
People from all walks-of-life graced this launch and we all had a fabulous time. The only thing I missed was my glass of red wine as alcohol was not served that night because their licence for alcohol was not ready.
At the end, I was handed a questionnaire for feed back, which I filled and rated in all honesty.
Clé restaurant will open to the general public tomorrow, Monday October 13 and if you are in Dubai, I propose you check it out.
