Lupita Nyong'o donned a colour-block sleeveless dress on Sesame Street to teach Elmo all about the wonders and variations of skin.
The 31-year-old Oscar winner told the red furry muppet how skin protects the body, helps us touch, and how it can be ticklish.
'Elmo sees that Miss Lupita's skin is a beautiful brown colour!' said the popular puppet operated by Ryan Dillon.
The 12 Years a Slave actress replied: 'That's the thing I love most about skin, Elmo. Skin comes in lots of beautiful shades and colours.'
Elmo then said: '[My] skin is a beautiful red. You know what, Lupita? Elmo loves the skin he's in.'
And Lupita replied: 'Me too. I love my skin!'
Nyong'o has a diverse background having been born in Mexico, raised in Kenya, and she now resides in Brooklyn.
Speaking of skin, the Yale School of Drama graduate has been fronting the French luxury cosmetics house LancΓ΄me since April.
Nyong'o will tackle her first children's film when she plays wolf mother Rakcha in Jon Favreau's live-action/CG hybrid adaptation of The Jungle Book.
The remake of the 1967 Disney cartoon - due out October 9, 2015 - also stars Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken, and Idris Elba.
The Non-Stop actress also nabbed a role in J. J. Abrams' highly-anticipated Star Wars Episode VII, which hits US theatres on December 18, 2015.

The Miu Miu model will also produce and star in a film adaptation of the 2013 novel Americanah.
