Katy Perry is seeing red, and it has nothing to do with that Mean Girl in sheep’s clothing tweet. Rather, the larger-than-life pop superstar wants you to know she’s pushing 30, and she doesn’t have time for funny business.
The 29-year-old, who will celebrate her 30th birthday on October 25, looks regal as she models several sophisticated dresses for the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar. In her interview with the fashion mag, the PRISM artist exerts her confidence and maturity as she welcomes her “dirty thirty”
“As I’m heading into my 30s, I have less time for bulls**t. I look for the same characteristics: a sense of humor — someone who makes me laugh off the charts — someone who is sensitive, someone who loves and understands music, and who is really smart,” she shares. “A lot of times I’ve ended up with people who have been intimidated by me, unfortunately. They say they’re not, but it comes out in the long run. They’re threatened, or there’s resentment because they don’t know how to handle it.” The feeling of intimidation her past beau’s have experienced can spawn from several possibilities: one, she’s a California bombshell with looks that can make anyone feel inadequate, and two, she has a vast vocabulary, and she longs for a man who can reciprocate her love for the English language.
