News: Ebola killed 200 people in 24 hours this week

In just one day, the death toll from the Ebola outbreak in Africa jumped by nearly 200 to 2,296 the World Health Organization announced on Tuesday. So far, there have been 4,293 recorded cases of the disease in five West African countries. However, the organization still doesn't have updated figures for Liberia, which is believed to have had thousands of new cases. Overall, the WHO and the UN believe the numbers are vastly under-estimated. On Wednesday, the Gates Foundation announced it was directing $50 million for containment efforts.
