Mission Street quickly mobilized people to extinguish the fire. It took the timely intervention of the fire
fighters to halt its spread. According to Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, an emergency
call around 6pm alerted them of the fire outbreak.

“Immediately, we mobilized our water trucks from Onikan and Sari Iganmu stations to the place and by
7:15 pm, our men had put off the fire,” he said.

The inferno which Fadipe attributed to electrical fault, affected only the ninth floor occupied by a law firm.
No death was recorded.
