But Ariana Grande and Chris Brown seem to have found some common ground.
The unlikely pair appear to have recorded a duet together, according to a series of new tweets.
On Saturday, Brown, 24, tweeted a song lyric, which Grande retweeted.
The 20-year-old beauty then replied with what looked to be the next line of the song.
'"i dug a single seed into the ground, I hope it grows,"' tweeted Brown, who is in court-ordered rehab for anger management.
'"in a year or two if you're around, you'll see a rose,"' Grande responded.
Grande's manager Scooter Braun - who also oversees Justin Bieber's career - all but confirmed the collaboration between the stars with a tweet.
'@ArianaGrande that was an amazing session. Excited for this incredible duet on the way :)', he wrote on Saturday.
