Just In: #OscarNoms: 93rd Academy Awards: Who are the 2021 Oscar nominees?

The 2021 Academy Award nominations were announced on Monday, with a record-breaking list coming out following on from new diversity requirements from the academy.
Leading the numbers of the nominations came from Mank, which scored an incredible 10 including Best Leading Actor and Best Film, followed on by The Father, which received seven nods. Last year it was revealed that the Oscars were aiming to raise the inclusion bar for Best Picture nominees, with new eligibility reforms to the best picture category intended to encourage diversity while addressing gender, disability, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity. 
The Father received seven nods, while Nomadland, Sound Of Metal, Minari, Judas And The Black Messiah and Trial Of The Chicago Seven were named in six categories, Promising Young Woman and Ma Rainey scored an impressive five nominations and Borat came in with two. 
Following on from BAFTA nods, late star Chadwick Boseman received a Best Actor in a Leading Role nod for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, alongside Riz Ahmed – Sound of Metal, Chadwick Boseman – Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Anthony Hopkins – The Father, Gary Oldman – Mank and Steven Yeun – Minari. Anthony Hopkins became the oldest Best Actor nominee at 83. The Best Actress list included: Viola Davis – Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Andra Day – The United States vs Billie Holiday, Vanessa Kirby – Pieces of a Woman, Frances McDormand – Nomadland and Carey Mulligan – Promising Young Woman. Opening up the nominations was Actress in a Supporting Role with Maria Bakalova for Borat, Glenn Close Hillbilly Elegy, Olivia Colman for the Father, Amanda Seyfried, for the 93rd Academy Awards which were announced by actress Priyanka Chopra and musician husband Nick Jonas in a livestream.
