Dubai has revealed its 2040 Master Plan, which aims to make Dubai the world's best city to live in.
The next 20 years will see the city tackle ambitious plans including increasing the space of public beaches by 400 percent, while 60 percent of Dubai's area is set to become nature reserves. Urban areas will be revamped, while infrastruture will also be further developed.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced the exciting plans, which could also see the local population swell to almost six million by 2040 – up from its current 3.3 million tally.
