Dozens killed in shootings at 2 Christchurch mosques in New Zealand: 40 killed, many injured

Forty people were killed and more than 20 seriously wounded in mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch on Friday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said.
Ardern said New Zealand had been placed on its highest security threat level. She said four people in police custody held extremist views, but had not been on any police watchlists. Malaysia condemns in the strongest term, the senseless act of terror on innocent civilians and hopes that those responsible for this barbaric crime be brought to justice.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of today’s shooting incident in New Zealand.
