The UAE condemns Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital

International media is reporting Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the US embassy to the city.
The UAE responded to this via WAM.ae, an official government source, and warned of grave concequences.
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Minister for Human Rights and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed the UAE's deep concern regarding the media reports stating Donald Trump, the POTUS's, decision.

This step may represent a fundamental change

Al Jaraman explained this step is a major breach of the principle of not influencing the negotiations to find a solution to the Palestinian issue.
The report stated the step would represent a fundamental change and unjustified bias in the neutral stance of the US.
Al Jarman also warned the move will have grave consequences, and will further complicate the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and obstruct the current efforts to revive the peace process.

The assistant Minister for Human Rights and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation highlighted the UAE’s firm stance on Jerusalem

The minister affirmed the UAE's constant support for the people of Palestine to attain their legitimate rights and establish their Palestinian state and its capital in East Jerusalem.
