Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Minister for Human Rights and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed the UAE's deep concern regarding the media reports stating Donald Trump, the POTUS's, decision.
This step may represent a fundamental change
Al Jaraman explained this step is a major breach of the principle of not influencing the negotiations to find a solution to the Palestinian issue.
The report stated the step would represent a fundamental change and unjustified bias in the neutral stance of the US.
Al Jarman also warned the move will have grave consequences, and will further complicate the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and obstruct the current efforts to revive the peace process.
The assistant Minister for Human Rights and International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation highlighted the UAE’s firm stance on Jerusalem
The minister affirmed the UAE's constant support for the people of Palestine to attain their legitimate rights and establish their Palestinian state and its capital in East Jerusalem.

Trump's decision to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is bound to cause havoc. Jerusalem isn't a billionaire's backyard, it's the heart of all three Abrahamic religions. If there's one moment Trump's powerful Muslim allies should speak up, this is it!— Shuja Rabbani (@ShujaRabbani) December 5, 2017

Trump Wake Up Jerusalem is not just a city, it is a part of every muslim.
I think you have to think A hundred times because this decision will destroy your relationship with the countries of the region...
Today the United States will recognize the city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, essentially taking the Middle East back to the times of the Crusades. Muslim leaders across the region have strongly condemned this controversial decision. pic.twitter.com/AEES54YOYa— Mazhir Chaudhry (@ChaudhryMazhir) December 6, 2017
@realDonaldTrump Any recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is a blatant attack on the Arab nation.— Ali-Elsaid (@Alielsaed92) December 6, 2017
