Photos: Emirates Airline releases statement after being asked to stop flying to Tunisia

Emirates Airlines announced on Sunday that it will stop its flights between Tunis and Dubai starting Monday, December 25.
The decision came after the authorities from the North African country asked Emirates to stop the service. The UAE's Minister of State For Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, said on Twitter that both countries had been in discussion about the “security measure information." He finished the tweet by saying the UAE valued and respected Tunisian women, without further elaboration.

"We have met with the brothers in Tunisia for security information as they have imposed specific and circumstantial measures. In the UAE, where we are proud of our experience in empowering women, we appreciate Tunisian women, respect them and value their pioneering experience", the tweet read. There is a public outcry in Tunisia after several women reported that they had been barred from boarding Emirates flights to Dubai.
