Confirmed! UAE Eid al-Adha dates

Following the sighting of the Dhu Al Hijjah crescent, it has been announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday will get underway on Friday September 1.
The news was confirmed by the Saudi Supreme Court in the evening of Tuesday August 22. Following Arafat Day on Thursday August 31, the ninth day of the month of Zul-Hijjah, Eid al-Adha will commence on Friday Saturday 1, and conclude in the evening of Sunday 3.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has also confirmed the start of the Eid period.
Starting on Thursday August 31, and running until Sunday September 3, the beachfront promenade will host live marching bands and roaming performers to entertain you. At 8.45pm each day a huge fireworks display will begin, while a range of family-friendly activities will also be taking place.
