News: One Direction Out-Sold Justin Bieber Dubai Concert: They Perform 4th Of April 2015

In other news from the UAE, in a coup for one of ARN’s networks in the United Arab Emirates, Virgin Radio is bringing One Direction to Dubai next year in what will be the largest show of it’s kind ever held in the region. Tickets went on sale Thursday and were sold out in four days!!!

“That's 30,000 tickets and the show is 10 months away! Only promoted on Virgin Radio Dubai,” exclaims Mr Smith. “Virgin Radio, Dubai, in conjunction with sister company Done Events has pulled off an amazing result, unheard of before in The Middle East. Great example of the Power of Radio in this region.”

Upon confirming this news, thousands of One Direction fans began lining up, 14 hours before tickets went on sale for the Dubai show.
The show’s chief operating officer, Thomas Ovesen, confessed that he’s stunned the 1D performance has become so huge.
“It has just been incredible,” he admitted. “The turnout was bigger than we had thought it would be.”
Dubai has seen shows like Bruno Mars and Katy Perry recently, but according to Ovesen, those superstars didn’t bring anywhere near the swarms of screaming fans like the One Direction lads.
“It’s by far the fastest-selling and most in-demand show that [we’ve] ever put on,” he said. “Nothing has been as in-demand as this!”
By contrast, the show’s operator pointed out that Liam, Louis, Zayn, Niall, and Harry have sold twice as many tickets, in only two hours, than popstar Justin Bieber did…in a WHOLE DAY!
The new 1D tour, called “The On The Road Again Tour,” will be rockin’ venues in Australia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, in 2015.
Meanwhile, Scott Mills of Radio 1 recently commented about the change he’s seen in One Direction, since they first appeared on “The X Factor” years back.
“I would say that One Direction have really changed,” he said. “They’ve been in the spotlight since they were very young, and I think everything about them is different now. Their styling is different…
“And they’re really grown up!” he said.

One Direction will play their first ever UAE concert on April 4, 2015 at the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Stadium; Done Events announced at a press conference on the 19th May 2014. Tickets went on sale from May 22 2014, with prices ranging from 250 AED/ $69 to 1,000 AED/ $274 and will be available on  doneevents.com
