Photos: Popular Lagos consultant, Dr Stella Adadevoh of First Consultants Hospital hit with Ebola virus

Popular Lagos medical practitioner, Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh is fighting the battle of her life, after being infected with Ebola virus. Adadevoh, a Senior Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist, was one of those who diagnosed and was treating Sawyer of the ailment when he was first brought into First Consultant Hospital. The First Consultant Hospital was where the late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American, was diagnosed with the deadly Ebola virus disease.
A Partner at the First Consultant Hospital, Lagos, Dr. Ladi Okubadejo, has appealed to the United States Government to urgently send whatever medication is in its possession on Ebola virus to Nigeria. Okubadejo, said this becomes necessary to save the life of his infected colleague, Adadevoh, and other Nigerians at risk of the deadly disease.
He said: “She treated Patrick Sawyer because she was patriotic only for her to be infected with the virus. I am appealing to the US Government to send whatever medication they have to Nigeria fast to save Adadevoh. She does not deserve to die. So, this is the reason for this appeal.” Adadevoh is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist, and a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and the British-Nigerian Association. She holds an MBBS from the University of Lagos Nigeria, as well as a Diploma in Endocrinology from the University of London. A Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College, Dr. Adadevoh has practiced in the United Kingdom and Nigeria for more than three decades. She is the Lead Consultant at First Consultants Medical Centre Lagos.
Sources disclosed that family and friends of Adadevoh have been rallying round to facilitate her cure.
#Wow, I am utterly speechless!!!
Read tweets from her young cousin, Kwame Adadevoh:
Dear readers, let's have Dr Adadevoh and all the other Ebola victims in our prayers, there's nothing He cannot do.
