Chairman of Nigeria Professional League side Giwa Football Club, Christopher Giwa, has been elected as the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Giwa received 27 votes, to beat former vice-president Mike Umeh, who got only two votes. 29 members out of 44 participated in the voting exercise.
The elections were held, after some NFF chieftains including the Musa Adamu, the Secretary General were arrested by men from the Department of State Security Services (DSS) and detained.
After the storm calmed a bit, Frank Ike Chude then swore in the elected officials.
Chairman of NPL club leading NFF... I would call that conflict of interest.
