Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and the outstanding mare Yamamah led from the start to finish to win the individual gold medal at a challenging Endurance competition in Sartilly at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy, near the Mont-Saint-Michel, northwestern France.
In winning gold, Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, takes over the world title from his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Prince receives a hero's welcome upon his return to the United Arab Emirates after his victory in the 160 km endurance competition.
