Miguel Pajares, a Spanish priest evicted from Liberia to Spain after contracting Ebola has died in Madrid.
A spokeswoman for Carlos III hospital, where Pajares was being held, confirmed his death.
The death of Pajares, 75, comes as a surprise, as it was reported that Spain had received the experimental drug ZMapp from the United States for his treatment.
The hospital refused to confirm if the drug was administered to Pajares.
