A spokeswoman for Vogue said that Terry Richardson, the photographer who allegedly offered a model a Vogue photo shoot in exchange for sex, will no longer work for the magazine.
“The last assignment Terry Richardson had for US Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future,” said Hildy Kuryk, communications director for US Vogue.
On Sunday afternoon, British model Emma J. Appleton tweeted a screen grab of a Facebook message allegedly sent by Richardson. "If I can f*** you i will book you in ny for a.shoot for Vogue," it read.
A spokesperson for Richardson, however, insists that the screen grab was fake: “This is obviously a fake. Terry did not send this text.”
Shortly after the tweet started to go viral, Appleton deleted it. “Beginning to wish I hadn't posted that… it doesn't matter who you are or what the industry is, just be a decent human being,” she wrote in a subsequent tweet. “The fact people think this is acceptable blows my f***ing mind. See ya.” Appleton then deleted her entire Twitter account.
In addition to his fashion photography, Richardson is also a successful music video director whose credits include Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," Lady Gaga's "Do What You Want," and Taylor Swift's "The Last Time."
