Dear Psquare,

I am highly motivated to write you this letter. I am one of your numerous fans although I have never bought any of your albums….. I have always downloaded! But that doesn’t make me less a fan of yours.

The media has gone crazy reporting your break up and trying to decipher who is actually holding the sharp knife tearing Psquare apart. Peter’s wife , Lola Omotayo, has been constantly mentioned but that is not really why I am writing you this letter. I am not here to use searchlight to find the Eve that gave you guys the forbidden Apple of separation rather, this is to let you know what you will be destroying if you guys officially break up.

A stubborn fly they say always follows the corpse to the grave. What will destroy Psquare will be being stubborn and proud . Peter, the grapevines have it that you are angry because Jude and Paul are sidelining you, they say you said almost all the songs we know were composed by Paul, you are angry that they have turned you into a mere Dancer. Well, that could hurt but it won’t put food on the table! Psquare is a global brand, one of Africa’s biggest pop boy band and can not afford to churn out anything less than a hit and so far all the Psquare songs have always been hits that means the head composing the songs is very GOOD! Everybody knows how very good a dancer you are, you displayed your genius recently in the monster hit, Personally, so please don’t take it as an insult. Peter, you killed it. This is nothing else but division of labour and it is allowed. This goes to show that both of you are very important sides of a great coin. Destroying the coin is destroying yourselves!

Paul, there is also nothing wrong with allowing some songs composed by Peter to make the albums if it is what always brings the problem. What I am trying to say is, you are a set of highly blessed twins, separating is dividing the divine annointing on you. If you finally break up, here are the consequences you must suffer.

1- Withdrawal Of Glo Endorsement Deal
This will really be a Mike Tyson’s punch on you two considering the fact that it is your highest paying endorsement deal. Globacom only works with celebrities who are glowing with pride, if you break up, you won’t glow with pride. More importantly, you were chosen as a boy band so if you disintegrate, automatically the deal is shattered! It will be a miracle if the Execs from Glo House do not pull the multi million naira deal off your feet!

2-Your Break Up Means The Break Down Of Psquare Brand
The moment you guys go solo, you lose your collective fan base. There are people who just love Psquare because of the way Paul delivers his lyrics while some also love the dance moves by Peter in the videos so your division means these people will be divided into two thereby rendering you two to minor individual artistes.

3- The Power In The Chemistry Of Two Heads
You should learn from D’banj and Don Jazzy, Sir. shina Peter and Laolu Akins even Plantashun Boys, Nsync, Destiny Child etc . The above mentioned were principalities until they separated, only the lucky one survives. Chemistry is very powerful in show business. You must work with the right person for you, that person might not necessarily be the best but when two of you work together, great things happen. Your break up will destroy the chemistry you already have.

In summary, it is foolish to destroy the winning  team and formula, to try something untested which was born out of personal ego and pride! Peter this is business, huge amount of money is involved. Please calm down, don’t make yourself the iceberg that will destroy this sailing ship!
