While most of us will be celebrating Easter with our friends and family this weekend, Chris Brown will remain in jail as the trial for his Washington D.C. W Hotel assault case that occurred back in the fall proceeds.
Yesterday was the first day in what might be a long battle in court, but while the situation is difficult, we’re sure he was put at ease once he saw his on-again-off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran there to support him, along with his mom Joyce Hawkins, celebrity bestie Bow Wow, and singer Tank.
There’s no telling when Chris’ verdict will be determined but if convicted, he could face up to 4 years in prison.
While his Easter won’t be spent with family and friends, it looks like his meal in prison won’t be too bad.
According to TMZ, Breezy will be given a decent meal for Easter Sunday. The site also lets #TeamBreezy know we don’t have to worry about him getting hurt while behind bars, because he definitely knows how to defend himself.

TMZ spoke with the Northern Neck Regional Jail — where Chris is being held until his Washington D.C. assault trial begins on Monday — and it sounds like he’ll be having a mostly traditional holiday:

–  Turkey Ham (no pork out of respect for Islamic inmates)
–  Yams
–  Cabbage
–  Bread Pudding
–  Cookies

We’re told bible study and ministers will be available for anyone who wants that kinda thing. Unclear if Chris will partake — but a little prayer couldn’t hurt before the trial.
As far as potentially having to defend himself in jail, boxing champ Andre Berto recently revealed to TMZ that Chris is a fighter, and can definitely hold his own if needed.

Turns out, the two are actually pretty good friends — and Andre says they’ve trained together in the boxing gym several times over the years.

In fact, Andre says the singer has some pretty good hands when it comes to boxing — though he doesn’t think he’ll have to use ‘em in jail … because he’s too busy making friends!

Seriously, Andre says Chris is an “amazing guy” who just needs to work on getting his life in order. 

I hope Chris has learnt his lesson and pray things improve for him soon. He has good friends in those that went to give him support in court!!!
