News: Nigerian student Tahir Mannir Adamu found dead in Bangladesh

University authority has recovered the body of a Nigerian student Tahir Mannir Adamu from the lake of Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur Bangladesh. Nigerian national Tahir Mannir Adam, 26, was a third year student of the university’s computer science department.
Joydevpur police station Sub Inspector Quamrul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune that Adam went the lake alone for bathing and drowned as he did not know how to swim. He was unconscious when he was recovered from the lake and declared dead when taken to the Tongi Government Hospital. The university authority has been ordered an inquiry into the incident and a case was filed with Joydevpur police station in this connection, IUT Registrar Ahsan Habib said.
