News: Someone please call 911, Wyclef Jean performs exclusively plus Lionel Ritchie returns here

He once sang that he’d be gone till November, but Wyclef Jean is actually going to be back a lot sooner than that! The former Fugees superstar is flying to Dubai to perform at VIP Room on Thur.Jan 30 in an exclusive set at the cool venue. Wyclef, 44, is a three-time Grammy Award winner and has worked with some of the biggest names in music from Kenny Rodgers, Mary J Blige and Lil Wayne, to Carlos Santana, Beyonce and Shakira.The talented producer and rapper also delved into politics when he ran for president in the 2010 Hatian election; however the Electoral Commission ruled him out of the running as he failed to meet the requirement to have been resident in Haiti for five years.

Oh, and that is not all!!!

We can’t wait to get dancing on the ceiling when Lionel Richie returns to Dubai later this year. Although no actual definite date has been announced, rumour has it that a special gig with space for around 10,000 people is being lined up. Lionel, 64, is set to go on tour Down Under with a stop off in New Zealand in March, before moving on to Japan later that month. Dubai residents will be used to hearing Lionel’s dulcet tones outside the Burj Khalifa when his track All Night Long plays at the world famous fountains.
