If you had shown me this picture in 1999 - when I was just a starry eyed undergraduate of UNILAG hoping to become a known Entertainment brand- I would have believed you. Of course I would have believed! I have none of those 'I couldn't believe I got here' type of sentiments. (Okay I do sometimes but mostly my dreams are wild and BIG and I am a Believer). So, my reaction if you had shown me this picture in 1999 would have been excitement! I would have been excited about what my auguries/future portended and would have been hard put to sit in one place. I would have ridden roughshod over all the discouragement and rejections I faced over the years. I would have told doubt and hardship that 'you don't scare me; I have seen my future and I know Tuface of the Plantashun Boys (2Baba) and KSA personally, and whats more, they looked happy to see me in the future I saw!' I would have told my friends 'treat me well now o. I know better people in the future o'. (I would have said the same to the girls that didn't give me the time of day too! Hehehe). I exhort you likewise tonight. It is true that none of us is EXACTLY sure of our EXACT FUTURE but the ALMIGHTY says to you tonight that 'I KNOW THE PLANS THAT I HAVE TOWARDS YOU; THEY ARE PLANS OF GOOD & NOT OF EVIL TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE & A HOPE' (Jeremiah 29:11). So don't give up. Chin up. More importantly, BE EXCITED ABOUT YOUR OWN FUTURE! (Well, unless you have been cheating/conning/stealing from/hurting others. Then be VERY SCARED OF YOUR FUTURE!) Cheers.
