On the 9th of October 2014, at the Meydan racecourse, Dubai residents witnessed the birth of
the biggest and the best Afro-Beats Concert the UAE has ever seen!
DANCE AFRIQUE 2014 united some of Africa’s favourite performers on one international
platform. Psquare (Nigeria) “personally” shut down the stage with their thrilling performance.
Mafikizolo (South Africa) held the crowd spellbound with their exceptional stage presence and
display. Flavour (Nigeria) and Fuse ODG (Ghana) were not left out in keeping the crowd fully
entertained throughout their individual performance.
The Afroboss, DJ Edu (Kenya) as well as
Abrantee (Ghana) kept everyone dancing all night long as they spun on the wheels of steel.
Eddie Kadi (Congo/UK) hosted the event with his stand-up comedy routine, which had
everyone bubbling with laughter!!!
Over 5000 people were in attendance as there was a blend of Emiratis, Americans, Asians
Europeans and Africans who all gathered to celebrate the rich African culture through music
and dance.
This year, the Dance Afrique train is moving to the heart of Europe…. London!!! DANCE
AFRIQUE LONDON is scheduled to take place on the 28th of March at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
Psquare will be headlining this concert with support acts by Shatta Wale from Ghana and
Flavour from Nigeria. The cool Dj’s for the night are Abrantee & DJ Edu. Our favourite
comedian, Eddie Kadi will be hosting the event.
