Rihanna releases new track, #FourFiveSeconds ft Paul McCartney & Kanye West

Rihanna pulled a page out of Beyonce‘s playbook and surprise-released her new song “FourFiveSeconds” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney on Saturday. The track — which comes three weeks after Kanye and McCartney dropped their collaboration “Only One” — is driven by simple acoustic guitar strums, with Rih departing from her dance-evoking vocals as she flexes her vulnerable singing voice.
Rihanna hasn’t released a new album since 2012’s Unapologetic, which spawned her hits “Diamonds,” “Pour It Up,” “What Now,” and “Stay.” The 26-year-old is beginning to push her follow-up project using the hashtag #R8 on her socials. Her highly buzzed-about eight studio album is yet to receive an official release date. “FourFiveSeconds” is available for download on RihannaNow.com.
